Time 2- 4 hours ($14.50 - $29.00)

Content Creation

You must have content for your Niche VRE Site. This can include article writing or outsourcing to ghost writers to write your articles. Both options can be quite costly in terms of your time, if you write these yourself, or cash if you are outsourcing to a article (ghost) writer.

The typical time to write a single article (300-500 words) varies from individual to individual. It can take hours, if you know the niche, to days if you have to research the niche. (2 - 6 hours or more)

If you knew the niche it could take you as little as 2 hours for writing that one article. If you had to research the niche it could possibly take you 6 hours for research and writing up the one article and a little less to write additional articles on the same topic.

The typical costs per 300-500 word article to outsource is between $5-$10 per artcle. Other costs associated with outsourcing include research time and locating a writer who writes properly. This can take days and possibly weeks during your selection process to find a suitable writer going back and forth interviewing and reading examples of their writings etc. Chances are you will end up paying around $7 per article for a decent article from an outsource provider and this doesn't account for your time to locate the right outsourcing provider.

Your niche VRE site should have at least 10 - 20 articles. The more the better.

Costs associated with content creation of only 10 articles:

Time if you know your niche and write them yourself 20 hours ($145)

Time costs if you don't know your niche and write them yourself  30 hours ($217.50)

Monetary costs if you outsource your articles ($70 - $100)*

*This figure for outsourcing doesn't cover your time interviewing, explaining to the outsource provider exactly what you are looking for as far as outlines for each of the articles, proof reading the articles, sending them back for revisions or even rewriting and tweaking them yourself.

Template Design

You are going to need an attractive logically laid out website designed to present your content on your Niche VRE site.

If you know html and have graphic design abilities this could only cost you time. To generate a typical header for a site can take 1 - 3 hours of your time to locate the approriate niche related graphics and build the header. If you don't own graphics for that niche you are then forced to locate some and if you can't find free graphics you will need to purchase licensing rights for these at some stock photography site. Building Your Website

After you have the main pieces you now have to build your pages of your site and insert your monetization features of your site that are going to make all your time and efforts worth while. This too takes time linking all your pages together. Things like inserting your contextual advertising codes in several places of each article page, integrating dynamic news feeds, affiliate product feeds, affiliate search forms, a site map, interactive features that help add content to your site like a comment system. To top it all off to maximize your profit potential you will want to make sure every page has been optimized for search engines. I would say the typical time it would take to piece all of this together would be about 5 - 10 hours or more if you had uninterupted time at hand and you really knew html and what you were doing.

Your other option here is to hire an outsource provider.You will be able to locate one but certainly not at our rate of $7.25 an hour. Typical costs range anywhere from $25 - $150 an hour. I charge $150 myself. They will take the same amount of time to build your site as it would take you if you knew how to code in html. The only savings here is if your time is worth more than what they charge for their time.

Time doing it yourself 5 hours ($36.25)

Time doing it yourself 10 hours ($75.00)

Costs if you outsource 5 hours ($125.00)

Doing it yourself will cost you roughly 30 hours of your time if you know your niche and you have graphic and html design skills and own the software needed to facilitate all the work involved. Based on our rate established above that equates to a real world cost on the low side of $217.
